Meet Mr. Kasting

Mr. Kasting grew up in Palm Harbor, Florida, and is a proud graduate of Flagler College. Following graduation, he served in the United States Air Force, where he was an instructor at Lackland, Kelly, and Sheppard AFB, and deployed multiple times. He also served in the Tennessee Air National Guard.

His teaching career began in Memphis at Central High School. Since then, he has made significant contributions to the St. Johns County School District (SJCSD), serving as an AP Psychology teacher at Ponte Vedra High School and an assistant principal at both Creekside and Pedro Menendez High Schools. Additionally, he held the position of Coordinator of School Services at the district level and has been involved in many community service projects over the years.

Our new principal is dedicated to ensuring that our teachers have the best opportunities to teach and that students are provided with the best pathways to pursue their goals as they transition to high school.

Outside of school, Mr. Kasting and his son Chappy are both rescue-certified scuba divers. They recently completed an exhilarating no-cage shark dive off the coast of West Palm Beach, where they were surrounded by Lemon, Sandbar, and Bull sharks at a depth of 80 feet. His son Chappy also recently competed at the USA Weightlifting Nationals in Pittsburgh, where he placed 12th in the nation!

Please join us in welcoming Mr. Kasting, whose dedication, passion, and adventurous spirit will undoubtedly inspire and lead our school community to new heights!
